HARDWARE MODIFICATIONS

List of planned modifications for the Fotoman Plus:

1. Removal of cosmetic plastic shell, as this is not needed, it adds extra weight and space, and would not survive the vacuum.
2. Removal of viewfinder, for the same reasons as the plastic shell.
3. Removal of flash and capacitor for flash, as the flash is only useful for short distances, and the Earth is much too distant.
4. Removal of metal contacts at base of PCB.
5. Modification of aluminum box to house Fotoman
1. Hole for lens and filters
2. Tilted platform and standoffs for the PCB.
6. Conformal coat the Fotoman Plus' PCB, over potting, as potting would require some sort of vacuum jar to remove air bubbles from the potting material.
7. Apply RTV to support flexible parts in the Fotoman.
