Welcome to the Washington University in St. Louis chapter of the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). Applied mathematics, in partnership with computational science, is essential in solving many real-world problems. Our mission is to build cooperation between mathematics and the worlds of science and technology through the student community at Washington University.

History of the Washington University in St. Louis Chapter

The WU SIAM chapter was the first student chapter ever created. Our initial events focused on the current news in the industry. Since that time we have expanded to include other events focused on professional and academic development.
